Week 9 By Sunday 4/6

1.   Write a blog post explaining what kinds of categories you would use on your blog to stay organized and reach your target audience. How would these categories help the business grow?

Posts are usually organized into categories to help people browse our blogs. It is a great idea to plan about categories in advance before we start posting our blogs. Think of categories like the chapters or table of content of a book. In a book each chapter sticks to one general topic and so should a category. We should keep the categories within 3; many more categories may confuse our readers. In my business blogs I am thinking of using two categories:

a.   Broad division of India (North, South, East, West):

I will broadly divide India into North, South, East and West and talk about each division and their different jewelry style. In this category I will talk about how the cultural diversity of India has created unique designs in the jewelry design from the ancient ages. So if someone is interested about South Indian jewelry and its cultural/ religious history, they can easily search my blog.

Youtube Link Of Indian Cultural Festival:

b.   Cultural Functions: In India almost every week has some kind of religious festivals, so every week I will try to post some relevant videos of those cultural ceremonies or talking about it and their influence on jewelry and fashion. I can collect them from you tube also and can schedule the auto posting in advance. Also I will try to link some of the jewelry with my items.

This way I think I will be able to update my readers about Indian culture, fashion and jewelry arts. Also they can associate my items with the cultural influence of India. I have to compete in jewelry business so I have to adopt some unique way to attract my readers and grow my business. Selling knowledge about my items and connecting them with a history will definitely attract some future customers. From my categories someone should be able to look at my category list and understand what my blog is about and find their required information.
2.   Comment on 3-5 of your classmates posts about getting personal on a business blog and include the name of the other blogs you commented on in your Sunday Categories Post.

I made comments to the posts of:

Trujillo, Caridad
Hannah Jeon
